The duo sings of their native Cuba between feelings of love and nostalgia. Beangel presented this new work on February 14 as a declaration of love for his native Cuba, a story about the island and the people who miss it, they reported in a statement.
“We want to remember the love for Cuba. We pay respect to the rafters, to those who never arrived and died at sea”, affirmed the interpreters and composers.
“Te pienso” is a song that they released together with Randy Malcom, a member of Gente de Zona, and Kelvis Ochoa, star of the musical success Habana Oculta and winner of the 2006 Goya Award for best original music for the film Habana Blues.
“The song is dedicated to the land that I love so much and cannot touch,” Malcom said at the launch of the song.
The new single is now available on all digital platforms. On YouTube, the official video has more than 30,000 views in less than 24 hours. Last October, Beangel presented their second album, Mimi Is Love, in Miami, where, in addition to Randy Malcom, also feature Cuban artists of international scope such as Alexander Delgado, Leoni Torres, Lenier and Descemer Bueno, among others; as well as the artist and composer Jeon Arvani, from Aruba.
Beangel won a victory at the 2023 Grammys with the album Pa’ allá voy, by Marc Anthony, which was the winner for Best Tropical Album. Both members of Beangel participated in the musical project, Pututi as a composer, and Bea as a chorister.
