Singer-songwriter, producer, and performer Leoni Torres presents “Corazón roto”, one of the songs from his upcoming salsa EP, which will be released at the end of April.
“This is a new stage in my musical life. A complete salsa album, with an urban touch, and spectacular songs in collaboration with other authors, with the production of Motiff, one of the best salsa producers at the moment”, stated Leoni Torres.
“Corazón Roto” is a composition by Raúl del Sol, Ángel Pututi, Beatriz César, Alba María Espigares Herrero and Francisco Belisel Valdivia. The video was directed by Adrián Sánchez Ávila. Leoni, leader of the Torres Productions company, has six albums as a soloist, and collaborations with great music figures such as Rosario Flores, Pablo Milanés, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Beatriz Luengo, Pancho Céspedes, Willy Chirino, Carlos Varela, Kelvis Ochoa and Cimafunk, among others.
In 2017, he received the award for Best Tropical Music Composition from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) for the hit “Traidora”, popularized by Marc Anthony and the duo Gente de Zona. He debuted with the song “Me Quedo Contigo” on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart for four consecutive weeks, and managed to position himself on Spotify’s Tropical Rising playlist with “Deja la tristeza”.
Alma Cubana was nominated in 2021 for the Latin Grammys, the most important music award, in the Best Traditional Tropical Album category. In 2022 he was also nominated for the Latin Grammy, for the second consecutive year in the same category, with his album Canten – Homenaje a Polo Montañez. Among his greatest successes, Leoni has starred in six sold-outs at his annual concerts at the James L Knight Center in Miami.
